after completeing my DB i have just learned that access 97 is not compatible with access 2000. what crap!!! i created my DB on a network using off97, but for the other users who have 2000 installed on their computer can’t use my DB. anyone have any suggestions to fix this problem? is their an update patch somewhere that could run off97 anyway. some much of my work is in 97 that doing it over would require months. thanks a lot.

    very sad access user

Are they sharing a database app, that is , running it from the network? Or do they have a local front end hooked to a shared back end? Access 2000 can link to an Access97 backend, although the performance suffers. If you explain more about what you’re trying to do, someone can probably help you. Without more information, all we’re doing is guessing.

Since this thread appears to be on the same question as this one, I’m going to lock this thread and request that any additional responses be posted to the other thread.
