I just updated my Office 2019 Pro Plus to the 2021 version. This version places Reply, Reply All, Forward icons to the upper right-most side of the reading pane’s header and I would like to move it all back to the upper left side, where it has always been. My eyes don’t naturally look to the right side of that pane, and it feel awkward to me. It currently looks like:

AskWoody_MVPFebruary 4, 2023 at 10:33 am #2531534That change occurred many years ago so I assume you haven’t updated Outlook in a very long time. There is no way to move those buttons where they were short of reverting back to the 2019 version and never allowing updates, which I strongly recommend not to do.
If you can’t get used to where the buttons are now, then maybe using keyboard shortcuts for those functions would be easier.Reply = Ctrl + R
Reply All = Ctrl + Shift + R
Forward = Ctrl + FAlso, you can right click that email in the email list in the top pane and have all those options available.
HTH, Dana:))

AskWoody PlusFebruary 4, 2023 at 1:34 pm #2531551Hi Drcard:)) – Thanks for responding. Yes, I was using the 2019 version for some time, and I just did the update the other day. It was a surprise for sure. Thanks for refreshing me with the shortcuts. There are usually a few different ways to do things in Office, so I’ll live. FWIW, I’ve been using Microsoft Word v1.0 since the mid 1980’s, so I’m used to the various ways to get things done with their software.
