I’m having a problem with the Office Toolbar no longer working in Office 2000. It keeps telling me I need to create a toolbar. At one time these installed without any problems and had all of the Office programs automatically set up on the bar. Does anyone have a clue what to do?

My first step would be to go to any Office program, and select ‘Help/Detect and Repair’. You will need access to the original installation CDs when you do this.

I don’t use the office toolbar myself, so probably can’t help further if that doesn’t work.

Did it ever work in Office 2000 or do you mean it worked in a previous version but not in this one? I personally think the start menu is easier and it’s built in.

It is Office 2000 and it’s for a client of mine that insists on using the tool bar. Another post suggests doing a detect and repair but I think I’m going to uninstall, delete directories and reinstall. I’ll let y’all know if it works.
