i am trying out outlook 2013 on laptop. there are some things in the new version that i like, and one that is a real problem.
i have a custom contact form that i have used since of03 (or maybe earlier?) has worked fine through OL10. now in OL13 the phone fields are mis-named, (one is now named “email3”!), clicking on name in phone drop down box produces a different name than the one chosen, etc, etc. this started with installation of Of13. if i rollback to Of10 form is fine.
If i try to start over with the native contact form, trying to redesign it in ‘developer’ it appears for a second and then magically changes to the custom form.
i use the same .pst on laptop as on desktop (syncing the file). contact form is still ok on desktop. i tried moving a .oft of custom form to laptop and putting that in form design. it also shows corrupted. and have tried rolling back to before installation and reinstalling office 2013.
i am guessing that the problem is in coding of Ol13 that corrupts my custom form. but why won’t it let me start over, redesigning a new custom form? (though, as i think about it, designing a new form for 2013 is not a good solution, because the desktop and laptop will expect different forms. )
comments? suggestions?
