    Hello,

I’m receiving some mail in Outlook that I also have to forward to different people. But when I create a rule for it, the forwarded message will have my emailaddress in the from field but I’d like to have the emailaddress of the person who has originaly sent me the mail in the from field.

Is there a way to do this?

When creating your rule instead of checking to “forward mail” check the box to “redirect”. This is only available in Outlook 2000.

Could it be that this option is olny available in conection with Exchange, because I can’t find it?

Sorry … I did not think about that. I have Outlook installed in Corporate/Workgroup mode. I have not tried this with IMO.

            Darryl,

It looks to me that a redirect a typical function of the exchange server is (so a rule runing on the server)
            Thanks for trying anyway

as long as you are not using exchange server, show the from field on the message and paste the senders name in. replies will go to him, not you.

it won’t work with exchange, permissions problems

        Mary,

Thanks for the reply, but this will mean I have to do it manualy. I had hoped Outlook could do it automaticly (maybe using a macro, but I have not worked with macros in Outlook yet)
