    Old Adages

You know you are getting old when none of your friends are older than you.

The smile from an old person after a young person explains how they have their life all planned out is not agreement, but rather deep control to keep from bursting out in laughter.

Young people think old people donโ€™t know anything, but donโ€™t realize that the old people know the most important thing there is that the young people havenโ€™t learned yet… How to survive to an old age.

How do old people have fun? Watching the young making stupid mistakes that old people are smart enough to avoid.

Nothing last forever โ€“ If man makes it, it breaks. If God makes it, it dies.

Today is the Tomorrow you worried about Yesterday.

If things lose value as they get older, then how come antiques are the most expensive form of an item.

Going to an Antique store is like going to a museum where you get to handle the items on display and you can take those items home.

You know you are getting old when the majority of the items in an Antique store are things you used to use.

Never do business with a company that spams you. Why? Do you really want to do business with a company that has demonstrated that it will use unethical/illegal methods in its business transactions?

Old people move slower than younger people because the young have not learn to appreciate the trip on the way to the destination (aka: donโ€™t smell the roses on the way there).

Pain is Godโ€™s way of letting you know you are still alive.

The only regret you should have is not what you didnโ€™t get to do or accomplish, but not fully appreciating what you did do or accomplish.

For each person the world is divided into two groups โ€“ those you can please and those, no matter what you do, you canโ€™t please. Itโ€™s smarter to concentrate on those you can please rather than waste time on those you can never please.

For hurtful things (insults, etc.) a person says to you to hurt you, you have to value what that person says in the first place.

Everyone has an opinion and itโ€™s not your fault that most of those opinions are wrong.

Iโ€™ve heard: โ€œLife is a bowl of cherries!โ€ Whatโ€ผ Life is only good for a few days and then it rots?

Buying a โ€œSmartโ€ phone will not make you smarter.

Oneโ€™s life is measured by one criteria…..Did you give more than you took? For a person that takes more than they give, the world would have been better off if they were never born. For a person that gives more than they take, the world is better because they were born. Which group do you fall in?
