This AM, I went to the Win 10 Forum, and it opened immediately, not after the usual ≈15 seconds wait (yes, I AM signed in), but all the “unread post” flags sent me to posts I’ve already read. The other forums I frequent (Code Red, Maintenance, Ask Woody) ALWAYS open immediately. ?What gives??

I don’t know, but I’ll have the devs look at it.

Your account is fine. Must be some sort of transient thing. I think. I hope.

Still the same, 12 hrs. later. I have signed out and back in, closed the tab, etc. This may be specific to the Win 10 forum and subforums, since everything works OK on this forum.

Did you perform some disk cleanup recently? Could it be some cookies deleted?
Or is it possible, that you have read that posts unsigned? Im trying to figure out what has happened, but there is so much to know..

My account is synchronised, no matter what browser I use. If I use Vivaldi or Chrome – both browsers have same flags on forum topics.

Another 1o hours later – problem still persists, so I restarted my browser (Firefox) then restarted my computer, “Unread posts” persisted in main forum ( Windows 10) and all subforums. I next went to each subforum, opened the topic, closed the topic , then manually refreshed the subforum — success! HOWEVER, the main forum window still shows unread messages in the subforums – this doesn’t resolve after a manual refresh. As before, I remain signed in. ADDENDUM – I refreshed after making this post, and it seems to be OK (for now).

Another (long-term problem is the “last post” dating, which is often wildly discrepant between the main forum list, the subforum list and (I believe) the actual post. This can be very misleading.

Doriel: no recent disk or cookie cleanup; I remain signed in as a paid member.
