OneNote Sync not available

I am using the OneNote app on my iPhone and also on an Android tablet and they sync fine. I have Microsoft Office 2007 on my computer, so I decided to use OneNote there as well. However, after opening OneNote and clicking on File>Sync, all the Sync options are greyed out and the only option available is Work Offline. I have not been able to figure out how to enable Sync and would appreciate any guidance I can get on how to enable it so I can sync with the notebooks I have already created.

The Notebook to sync, is it stored locally?

The default location when I installed the apps was OneDrive, and that is where the files are located, not locally. There are local files, installed with OneNote I’m guessing, but the sync options are greyed out for those as well.

I think OneNote 2007 does not support OneDrive notebooks. I suggest you upgrade OneNote to the free OneNote 2013 version: http://www.onenote.com/Download.

OneNote 2010 was the first version that supported OneDrive.

Rui, thanks. I had discovered this elsewhere just a little while ago, but hadn’t gotten around to see if I could get a new version without buying a newer version of Office. Thanks for the info – did as you said and everything works as it should now.

Noticed this morning that OneNote is not syncing to my Windows Phone. Syncing seems fine between Desktop and Metro though. Also noticed that OneNote is syncing from the phone to the server, but not from the server to the phone?
Anyone?

Copied page data to Word, Created a new page on my phone with the same name as the one on the server. Pasted data from Word to newly created page, closed OneNote on phone. Opened OneNote 2013 and newly created sheet appeared. Deleted page that was created in OneNote 2013, moved newly created page to top of the list, and closed. Re-opened OneNote on my Phone, within seconds page were in sync……
