    Hello,
I’m from Warsaw, in Poland and I have a problem with presentation in Power Point (Power of Messages). On the first slide in that presentation I have created a button ‘CommandButton 1’ and “TextBox 1”.
I would like button “CommandButton 1” to open specific slide, which I write/put inside “TextBox 1”. (I’d like so that “CommandButton 1” opens the specific slide, which I write/put inside “TextBox 1”). For example I write/put “slide Nr.8” from another presentation inside “TextBox 1” and I’d like to open that “slide Nr.8” using “CommandButton 1”.
Is there anybody who could help me with it, please?
I will be thankful very much for it.
    Kind regards,
    Bogdan

      Bogdan,

Welcome to the Lounge as a new poster!

I’m not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish so let me ask some questions.

Let’s call your slide with CommandButton1 the Base Slide.

When you click on CommandButton1 do you want to move to a new slide (Nr.8) or do you want to stay on the Base Slide and reveal TextBox1 which has slide Nr.8 inside of the text box?

The other option would be to move to a completely different silde with a TextBox1 which contains slide Nr.8. However, if this is what you want why use a TextBox.

Hopefully, the answer to these questions will help us to understand better what you are trying to accomplish.

There is (probably) no need to do this.

Eitehr just type the slide number on the keyboard and ENTER. The pres will jump to that slide or Right Click >> GoTo Slide

      Hello
Thanks for answer. That’s my problem:
I create three files pptm: catalogue 1, catalogue 2 and search. catalogue 1 and 2 have hundreds slides all this slides have unique number (for example 1000000,1000001). File “search” have only one slide where in has been TextBox1 and CommandButton1. When I write in TextBox number and click button I want to view slide who have this number in new slide show ppsm.(So this program VBA must have find in Catalogue 1 and 2 slide and go to then).
Sorry but my english is not very well.

        Hello,
I have a file named “search” in Power Point. That file “search” contains only one slide. On that slide I have TextBox and CommandButton1.
I would like to write for example “8” inside TexBox and then I would like to press CommandButton1 and I expect slide nr.8 will be opened. But I would like to open slide “8” from other file in/from Power Point.
        Is that possible?
I have next question too… Slide “8” has its unique name (for example slide nr.8 is called 3583714). May I use name of that slide in Text Box instead of its number?
I thank you in advance for your help.
        Kind regards,
        Bogdan
