I’ve been stumped on this for far too long. I present it here in hopes someone will recognize it and have an answer.
We are a single office/domain network with 50+ workstations using Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2010 in the Pacific time zone with servers and workstations set to automatically update for daylight savings time. Though, I don’t think this is DST related as I’ll explain.
We’re a law office so our assistants manage two or more calendars. Their own and at least one attorney calendar.
One of our assistant views her own and her attorney’s calendar side by side using the Day/Week/Month view and the Day option, side by side, business hours 8 to 5. On the left her appointments show up with the correct time. His on the right, however, are off by one hour later. If she opens another user’s calendar, that user’s appointments are also off by one hour later. If she opens the attorney’s appointment to see the details it does show the correct time. It’s when viewing the calendars that the other user’s calendars appointment times are off. Here is an example:
Interest to also note, if she goes to another mailbox area like her mail or contacts, and returns to the calendar area, the attorney’s appointments show up wrong. If she changes her calendar view, such as changing from day to week and back, the view corrects itself and the attorney’s appointments show the time correctly. When she goes back to another area and comes back to calendar, it’s right back to being wrong again.
I could see this as a possible DST issue if we looking at appointments during the DST change over periods in spring and fall. But this has been happening for many months. Also, in the fall we go back one hour, not forward. These are showing as forward an hour.
Everything points back to the user, not the mail system or the attorneys. Back in July I made a new mail profile on her computer but the problem has continued.
This is only happening on her computer. No other complaints and those attorneys’ calendars look fine on my Outlook.
What in the world is this? How can I fix it?
