Has anyone used Outlook 2007 calendar and contacts with an iPod Touch or any of the IPods? I’ve heard that you can sync them, but I don’t know if that is hype or practical reality. Without a laptop, the idea of having my information accessible easily is very appealing. But if I have to jump through hoops to get things synced and visible, I won’t bother.
Also, can you password protect your contact information? Currently, I use dMailer on a flash drive to look at my Outlook info, but that requires access to a computer. I’d like to use something that is not dependent on a laptop or desktop.

    TIA
    Mark

I’ve had never heard of syncing Outlook data to an iPod. However, Apple does have a couple articles on that. Here’s one that describes the steps in iTunes: Syncing contacts and calendars to iPod with iTunes for Windows.

I am not familiar with the features of the calendar/contact software on an iPod. The iPod does let you set a four-digit “screen lock” password; query whether it protect the USB (mass storage) interface to your data as well.
