In Outlook.com, New Message you type some words then you can change the font. I liked the old Lucida Handwriting, but recently they changed it to make it look more like fancy handwriting which I don’t like very much. (There was also Segoe Print, but that’s been gone a long time.)

Any suggestions on how to use my own choice of font, or access any secret/hidden fonts in Outlook.com/New Message?

Lucida Handwriting and Segoe Print are both available to me in an Outlook message, and I don’t think the fonts have changed.

Outlook uses whatever fonts are installed in Windows, so check at Settings, Personalization, Fonts.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case for me. Check out these two screenshots. One shows Segoe Print as an available font in Settings/Personalize/Fonts. The other shows Segoe Print is not available in Outlook.com. So, what am I doing wrong?

Apologies. I missed the .com in your original post (three times!), and thought you were referring to the desktop app Outlook.

Just proves the truth of today’s newsletter article about the confusion Microsoft causes by labeling 18 different things “Outlook”. (But I should have spotted it.)

          No problem, I understand.

That brings me back to my original question. Is there a way to use my Windows 10 or other desirable (3rd-party?) font for composing a message in Outlook.com?

Outlook should offer all fonts, that are stored in C:\Windows\Fonts

Simply download the font you want and copy it into mentioned folder (admin rights reqired).
But beware, that user recieveing your message may not see the correct font, if he does not have it installed in his C:\Windows\Fonts directory.

            Example: barcode Code39 font message

            bcm

            HAL3000, AMD Athlon 200GE @ 3,4 GHz, 8GB RAM, Fedora 29

Outlook does, but Outlook.com does not.
