• Outlook contacts “file as” issue

Hi everyone. I have an interesting issue. I have someone’s Outlook Contacts configured to file contacts as lastname, firstname. However, when they create a new contact and enter the person’s name in the Name field the File As field shows it as firstname, lastname instead of lastname, firstname. This is how it looks:

    Name: John Doe
    File As: John, Doe

Any thoughts on how to fix this one?

      Two possible places to check:
      1. Tools > Options, Preferences tab, Contact Options
      or
      2. If you have Exchange, Tools > Account settings, Address Books tab. Double click the Outlook Address Book

SOLVED – I went into his Contacts Options (Tools | Options | Contact Options) and simply changed the Default Full Name Order from Last Frist to First (Middle) Last and that did the trick!
