• Outlook for Android?

One of my employers wants to put Outlook on his Droid (I believe it’s a Galaxy S3) so that he can get his corporate e-mail on his phone in a more desktop-like environment.

Outlook.com is available for Droids, but it is not clear to me whether this will work with Exchange or not.

Will this app work with Exchange or is it just for Outlook.com (aka Hotmail) accounts?

    Thanks!

There is no Outlook app for Android. Outlook.com is a web based email service, through which you can access Microsoft hosted email accounts. Of course, you can also configure an hotmail, or outlook.com account to be read through Outlook.com. For a single account, I think it’s even possible that you host your own domain with Outlook.com.

In any case, access is done either through a web browser or your (employer’s) phone email client. Don’t knowing Android, I can’t really say much more about its email client.

If you’ve got Exchange you’ve got Outlook Web Access and can use your mail from any device with a browser.

It’s not the desktop Outlook program, but the built in Android email app connects just fine to Exchange using active sync and integrates with Contacts & Calendar too.
