Not sure where to post this – we had an Outlook customization (VBA macros) that would take data from the Outlook calendar and build reports in Excel.  There were two ribbon customization buttons that would generate the reports.  IDK whether an update in 365 affected the operation of the macro, but the buttons no longer generate the reports.  The person who created the macros is no longer available to troubleshoot.   I thought if I removed the customizations from the account in question, I could “reinstall” them (I have instructions on how to install the macro in Outlook), but I don’t know how to remove them.  Can anyone help with how to remove a customization like this?  Or refer me to someone who help with getting the macros working again?  Thank you!

hi. I don’t have a direct answer for your question. I’m sure somebody will come through with someone that does this. You might consider in the future maybe over the next year migrating to power automate for this type of flow to get you out of the VB macro world. That would open up the ability to expand the flow fairly easily to a variety of other things like Teams, and sending reports back out of Outlook . Let us know who you find for the VB scripting as some of my clients occasionally run into needs for that and I no longer do it.

I would first mess with the trust center settings and see if setting the macro security to low makes them work.  If that does, then it may need that the digital signature needs fixing.

What are the instructions to install the customizations?

I asked your question to ChatGPT. Here’s what it had to say
