Outlook Startup Error (Outlook 2000 SR 1a)

Hi,

When I try to open Outlook I get the following message:
Program Error. Outlook.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.

Am I going to have to reinstall Outlook? Or is there another option here.

Replies

Without all Outlook process closed, run “scanpst.exe” on your PST(s), and see if that helps. If not, see if you can open Outlook with the command line /safe, as explained by unkamunka here. If these steps don’t help, post back to this thread.
