Hi all
Using Windows 10 Pro and Microsoft Office 2019 Professional Plus – all is up to date.
I am unable to migrate an old PC to a new one due to corrupt system files so I am currently manually transferring all data etc. over to the new one.
The issue I am having is connecting Outlook to a single Gmail account, no matter what I do I get the same error “We couldn’t log on to the incoming (IMAP) server. Please check your email address and password and try again”
Note: The email address and password are correct.
What I have tried >
Outlook works no problem on another PC here so I simply copied the incoming and out going settings to no avail.
Also I can log in to the gmail account in the browser with no issues.
I have done research and the only advice I can come across is to “De-activate 2FA” and “Allow less secure app access”
I have successfully de-activated 2FA.
As of 2022 google has removed the setting to Allow less secure app access.
Any help greatly appreciated ……
