    Hi!

One user of my Access database claims that she receives error message “Overflow” when sending Access report to Word from Print preview window. Other user with the same machine configuration can complete same operation without any error.
I asked system administrator to make new installation of Office 97.
But, does anybody know is there more precise solution for this problem.

    Thanks for advance
    Greetings,
    Anu

According to ”Overflow” Error When Outputting Report to RTF Format (RTF is the format in which Access outputs a report to Word), this has been solved in Access 97 SR-2, so you should check that SR-2 for Office 97 has been installed on the problem PC.

        Very many thanks Hans!

I’m very sad, this hint didn’t solve that problem. Access 97 SR-2 creates the same error message.
And also it did happen in Win2000Office 97 installation.

Have anybody an idea what to do in this case?

        Thanks for advance.

There are some newsgroup posts mentioning the same problem in Access 97 SR2 and in later versions (Access 2000 and 2002), but they don’t seem to have been resolved.

Does this happen with ALL reports, or just a specific report?
Has the user tried exporting without any other applications (except Access) being active?
You mentioned that the export succeeded on another PC with the same configuration. Do the PCs have the same amount of RAM?

            Hi!

            Thaks Hans.

            I try to answer:
error appears in ALL reports on specific computers. I tried to export the report while only Access was running. (But I really didn’t check that REALLY Access was only application, or only it seemed to me).

There were 2 computers having the same amount of memory and hard disk space, one created the error and the other didn’t.

            regards,

            Anu

              Hello Anu,

I’m afraid I don’t have an explanation or solution, except completely reinstalling the problem PC. Sorry about that.

              Very many thanks Hans,

We converted the database to Access 2000 format, and hope that the problems will disappear.

              regards,
              Anu
