I use ATT/Yahoo via DSL from my home page, when I select a particular
item featured for any given day (usually an article about food or
tips on fad items or home repair etc.), it comes under the heading
of “Today’s Highlights” and the sub web page “Shine from Yahoo”. It is
displayed in an unreadable tiny layout when using the Google Chrome browser.
It displays fine with IE 8. Other pages from today’s highlights also
    display ok with Google Chrome.

Is this because ATT/Yahoo or who ever produces “Shine” doesn’t fully
    support the Chrome browser?

I’m not seeing a problem with Chrome on that page. Have you tried pressing ALT and using your scroll wheel to increase text size?

When I pressed ALT and used the scroll wheel, the page just scrolled up and down. Thanks for the suggestion!

Same here (ALT and wheel does what the wheel usually does) am I missing something.
In Chrome the BBC videos – but not iPlayer – nor on-page videos in other sites – do not work. BBC unhelpful.

Videos use modified players, so some features are not available within a video frame. Sorry.

Actually, I find that both ALT and CTRL let me adjust text size in Chrome when used in combination with the scroll wheel. I suspect that Chrome may be messed up. Try uninstalling it and then reinstalling.

My Chrome browser is just fine with almost every web page except Shine. All of the other sub items under Today’s Highlights display normally. I have to conclude that there is something odd about that one particular content provider that does not agree with Chrome. Reinstalling probably wouldn’t change the results. Thanks.

      Um, no.

      1. Chrome works fine on those pages for me.
      2. Pressing ALT and scrolling adjusts text size just fine for me in Chrome.

Try updating your Flash for Chrome. Try uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome. Both will take a lot less of your time than you have already spent on this thread. If it’s important to you, it’s worth the minimal effort required.

On my Toshiba Satellite laptop, Chrome responds to CTRL-Scroll Wheel for zooming in and out. So some computers use ALT while others use CTRL.

MildBill your second suggestion about using Ctrl plus Scroll wheel worked. Sorry it took me so long to try it and reply. Many thanks.

I’m glad that I could help.
