I think it may be a conflict with your anti-virus program – is it McAfee? I found some literature on google – not your specific error – try disabling your antivirus and see if the error still occurs… if not, contact your antivirus vendor for a fix…

      Trish:

I’ll check that out… I don’t use (or like) Norton. (or McAfee) . I use avast… which has been pretty good to date. But I’ll post and check on their board.

      Thanks,

      Update:

Interestingly, if I go to Newsweek’s homepage in Internet Explorer, there are no errors. Then, if I, using cut/paste, launch the same URL in Outlook, there are no errors.

BUT, if I, again using the same URL as the homepage for a folder, then “Show the homepage by default for the folder”, I get errors.

It has got to be something in the Outlook translation that causes the errors. I just cannot find what.

If I go to some sites, like washingtonpost.com, in my browser, all is fine.

If though, I put a shortcut to that page in Outlook, I often get an error, like the the one included. Sometimes one, sometimes several per page. Eventually they stop and the page displays.

Is this something I can fix in my Outlook settings?
