I have created an Access 2000 report and in Page Setup, I changed the default margins and changed the page orientation to landscape. However, the new Page Setup won’t stick, as when the report is opened by someone else or even myself another day, it reverts back to portrait orientation and the default margins. I certainly would appreciate any advice anyone can give me to correct this situation. Many thanks…M.

I got this information from Mark’s answer in post 209552

AskWoody LoungerJanuary 18, 2003 at 5:07 am #646188I have found it a good failsafe when specific page settings are required for certain reports – I had a database that needed to print triplicate carbonless receipts on a dot matrix and other reports on the laser printer – that you choose “Page Setup” from the File menu with the report in question opened, click on the Page tab of the dialogue box and select “Use Specific Printer” and specify the printer you want. Those page settings seem to be retained with none of the usual arbitrary nonsense (default settings imposing themselves) that you get otherwise. Particularly useful if you have more than one printer/printer driver set up on your computer or if you are on a network.

AskWoody LoungerJanuary 18, 2003 at 8:29 am #646196This is my favorite Access bug (reports losing customised settings). It keeps getting fixed with service pack releases. Then the new version of Access appears and, guess what, it’s back again. Turning off auto-correct can help. If all reports have the same, customised, margins then set these as the default margins for the reports in the database settings.
