Anyone have recommendations for a partitioning software? I haven’t seen anyone talk about Partition Magic for awhile. It used to be good, but now that Symantec has bought it…who knows. Anyone use Acronis Disk Partition Manager?
    Thanks in advance,

      Phil,

Have a look at TeraByte Unlimited – Bootitng. Does partitioning and imaging and it is pretty inexpensive.

I have the Acronis product Phil, but have only given a minimal test drive. I used Partition Magic for many years and quit when they were bought out. The Acronis Disk Director Suite looks and feels very much like the PM product and I didn’t have any complaints about it in my short run.

Joe, do you use that BootItNG product? Even its biggest supporter, Fred Langa, has said on more than one occasion that’s it’s not too easy to use. I just wonder…

        Al,

No, I don’t. I’ve just read some good stuff about the capabilities and price. And also that it might not be as pretty as PM.

I am still using PM. I have had it long before the buy out. Have NOT tried any of the new versions since the buy out.

I’ve have Acronis Partition Expert, which I think is now part of their suite. I’ve used it quite a bit to do various functions and it has worked flawlessly in every case. I have really come to appreciate Acronis products and their excellent support.
