I know this has been covered elsewhere, but I’m afraind my patience has run out, trying to sort this thing out.

I tried using the User Level Security Wizard & didn’t get the expected results. So decided to get rid of that & go back to a backed up copy & maybe start again. Only trouble is, I’m getting a logon dialogue box come up for every database!

I did try re-naming the mdw that was created, but no joy.

    Help please.

Try moving the .mdw file out of the default folder. Access should create a new “plain” System.mdw automatically.

        Cheers Hans

I’d renamed the one created, but didn’t know that moving the one in “documents & settings” needed attention too.
