      Maybe they’re just trying really hard to get off to a fresh, clean start?

      Well at least it makes Edge more defined from IE. More importantly is how will new Edge do against Chrome in the  browser market? There are several Chrome clones to choose from and Firefox as well still in there trying. I do give Microsoft credit for making Edge cross platform in every way possible. That should at least make it on par with other browsers finally.
