perfmon /report hangs

The recent newsletter article on Speeding up Your PC suggested running perfmon /report. When I try it hangs with the attached screen saying it is collecting data for 60 seconds, but I have let it run for over 10 minutes and no report. Anyone else experiencing this?

It hangs on my Windows 10 2004 Pro as well.

It refuses to do anything on my PC as well.

Perfmon does state ‘Membership in the local Administrators group, or equivalent, is the minimum required to run this Data Collector Set.’ but my account is an administrator – although I do not get a UAC prompt.

Launching it from the Run dialog with ctrl+shift+enter strangely doesn’t give me a UAC prompt either.

I can confirm the same issue on 20H2 (with KB4580364 update) on Windows 10 Home edition.

I may have stumbled into a good workaround for seeing the perfmon report: Type “computer” in the search field on the Task Bar and select the Computer Management App. Select Performance under System Tools from the tree on the left. From that point there seem to be several options, including Open Resouce Monitor, which show various graphs and reports.

Confirmed. Not working.  Opening up and running individual reports manually also hangs.

I have the same issue (hung at collecting data for 60 secs) on Win10 20H2.  Asus motherboard, Ci5-7500.
