Picture not showing in Print Layout view (2002)

Hi,
I have several images that I copied and pasted into a MS Word doc. However when I scroll to another page the photos, when I return to the page, is not visible. I can click on it and see the handles around the photos but no photo. If I go to print preview I can see them or if I paste another photo on the same page it will show up again until I scroll off to another area. I checked tools | options | view and made sure I didn’t have a check mark in Picture Placeholder.

I have copied and pasted these images from the web and image editing software rather then the Insert | Picture | From file command. Though I have done copy paste before with no problems.

I assume you are not using the “picture placeholders” option (on the Tools>Options… dialog’s View tab) if you see them initially and then don’t see them after scrolling.

I think we’ve had a thread on this earlier this year. It was suggested to check that Office is patched up (e.g., to SP3 for Office XP), video drivers are up-to-date, and that it’s not a problem of Word running out of memory. But in truth I wasn’t paying close attention, so if you can find that thread, you might get better advice.
