    Hello!
When using the “show pages” function in one of my pivot tables, the name of the “show pages” field does not come over to the name of the worksheet… for example, I have “name” in the page section of the layout… when I run the “show pages” option, normally all 10 different names show up as 10 different worksheets within the workbook I’m working in… in this particular example, 9 of the names show up with the individual names as the new worksheet names and one of the worksheets name shows up as “sheet8”. This has never happened to me before… I’ve used this function in the past with maybe 25 different worksheets being generated, and this one only has about 12. Any ideas what might be causing the name to not transfer to the worksheet name?
    Thanks,
    Lana

Excel tries to give each sheet the name of the value from the page field. If this value contains a character that is not allowed in a sheet name, it’ll give the sheet a generic name instead.
      The forbidden characters are / : ? * [ ]
