I have been unable to resolve this error in refreshing data using the web pivottable control (linked to SQL Server 7) published out of Excel.
The control loads properly and the underlying query begins to run. After about 10 seconds I get a timeout error and the query fails. I edited the published page in FrontPage2000 and changed the timeout setting on the control (default was 15) but no matter what I set it to the results are always the same.
Once the control is loaded, I can sometimes hit the refresh button on the control and the data will return normally.
Anyone else run into this? I’ve seen several posts on the Microsoft support pages but all without answers.
