I have several photos that I have accumulated over the years, and some of them are just to small. I would like to find a program where I can resize them so that I can see them and they aren’t blurred. I have tried programs like FastStone and Picasa but the picture was so bad I couldn’t use it. Any ideas?

I would change the word from Pixelization to Pixelation!

      And try IrfanViews’ Resize/Resharpen function.

Thanks for the spelling lesson!.. LOL we are both wrong
I tried that first but it is so pixilated that I can’t use it.

No, sadly you cannot add detail where there was none originally.

However, one was right! The word is Pixel, a contraction and mis-spelling of Picture Element – thus pixelated, pixelation…

Originally IBM tried to foist the abbreviation pel, also Picture ELement, on us.

The only way I have found to do this, is with a program that only “CSI” or NCIS” could afford, is to rescan the image, if you have the photo.
When ons scans these small sizes images, they need to be done at a higher resolution, which will allow a larger image.

Here’s a link to an article that gives a few tools that may help:

      http://www.pcworld.com/article/181651/enlarge_your_photos_without_sacrificing_quality.html

The article title is a bit misleading, since you will obviously lose some quality when enlarging – but the recommendations they give would be better than using the Resize option in your current image editor. Yes, one of the options they recommend is quite expensive, but if you only need to resize a small bit, the free software may be all you need.

      Thanks All,
Guess I will just have to live with them being so small.
