Back in the days of the ‘wired’ world, all you needed was an audio out splitter and you could plug in 2 headsets so 2 people could listen privately and watch a single screen.  Well, now that we’ve all moved to Bluetooth headsets, I’m perplexed as to finding out whether or not it’s even possible to have 2 Bluetooth out for audio from a single source in Windows 10.  Can someone provide an authoritative answer whether it’s possible to have audio go out to 2 separate Bluetooth headsets, and if it is, how is this accomplished?  thank you in advance.

    Regards,

    d

Googling “Bluetooth connect multiple headphones” I have found a number of videos on how to connect several headphones to a TV, most of them in English and this list of hits:

      https://www.google.com/search?source=hp&ei=taFqX9XADcvBytMP4eGZ0A4&q=bluetooth+connect+multiple+headphones&oq=bluetooth+connect+multiple+headphones&gs_lcp=CgZwc3ktYWIQAzICCAAyBggAEBYQHjIGCAAQFhAeMgYIABAWEB4yBggAEBYQHjIGCAAQFhAeMgYIABAWEB4yBggAEBYQHjIGCAAQFhAeMgYIABAWEB46DgguELEDEMcBEKMCEJMCOgsILhCxAxDHARCjAjoICAAQsQMQgwE6CAguELEDEIMBOgUILhCxAzoFCAAQsQM6CAguEMcBEK8BOggILhDHARCjAjoCCC46CAgAEBYQChAeUIMOWNZZYO2IAmgAcAB4AIABvwGIAcARkgEEMzUuMpgBAKABAaoBB2d3cy13aXo&sclient=psy-ab&ved=0ahUKEwiV792Pjf7rAhXLoHIEHeFwBuoQ4dUDCAg&uact=5

      Here is one example:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5BR644QbVs

From the videos I just saw, it looks like one needs to buy some ancillary gizmo to get this to work.

I have wondered this myself. Seems the simple answer is not usually. This might be very useful for two folk with different hearing levels to watch TV or listen to music to gether. Maybe the next BT iteration :[

The future answer is to upgrade to Bluetooth 5:

      https://www.lifewire.com/bluetooth-5-4160255

The present answer is to use an external app (for Android or iOS) or external device:

There are also Bluetooth Hubs (aka Bluetooth Routers) now:

This kind of thing is somehow unreasonably difficult in just about anything nowadays… even without Bluetooth… just plain audio output to any two separate devices.

The usual answer is to find the “monitor” or “listen to” option. As in set one as main device and then set the second one to “monitor” or “listen to” the main device.

There seems to be something over at https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware-winpc/output-audio-to-multiple-devices-in-windows-10/b284def2-d684-4f1f-87a0-f562f556aedd but I don’t have a Windows 10 device at hand right now to test this myself.

Oh yes, sort of related silliness… on the Linux side, at least Ubuntu would have a simple tool to enable that function in PulseAudio (the usual default sound subsystem in Linux these days)… except, the “paprefs” tool isn’t installed by default, you need to know to look for it.

Oh well, could always just tweak the config files by hand… well, I could but I don’t think my spouse for example would.
