print preview fine, document prints garbage (Office 97)

In my office there is a 6 meg master document with various sub documents and hyperlinks. In print preview all 239 pages look fine, but when ever anyone tries to print the document they only get garbage. Can someone suggest where I might look to figure out what is happening.

i would check print drivers.
also send only a few pages to the printer—does it print? printers only have so much memory and that sounds like a big doc.

have tried printing even 1 page at a time, still same results
but will check the drivers in the morning…
never had this problem with any other similar documents, was just wondering if someone else had run into it

found the problem,
used my favourite search engine, keyed in
“master document”+print+Word

seems they were looking at the document in outline view. Looks fine for print preview but doesn’t print properly, switched to normal view and it worked like a charm
