I would like to know how to print the search criteria on a report in cases where the search will vary from printout to printout. I generate the query the report is based on using VBA, so I already have the “Where” string. I would like to be able to print that string on the same report that displays the query results, but I can’t think how. The query and the report are generated when I hit OK on a search form. But how do I add the search string to (say) the report header?

Store the WHERE clause in a control on the search form; it doesn’t even have to be visible. Then place a control in your report’s Header, and as its controlsource, reference this hidden control on the form.
