You might try wiring the printer into the router instead of the 98 puter…..

Thanks. I tried Adding a local printer, Create a new port, enter a port name PCprinter. Receive error message “The specified network password is not correct”. The printer is a HP Deskjet 670c and the router is Linksys WRT54G. Vista is home premium. Any suggestions regarding the password?

The sweet smell of success. Thanks to all. I was almost there. I set up my network printer from my Vista PC as a local printer. Then my oldest granddaughter and her finance came by. I mentioned to him what I had done and he asked me one question. “Are all the workgroups the same?” Of cource they were not. He set them all the same and we are printing.
        Thanks again.
