We want to print a project schedule on an HP Designjet 750C, 36″ wide and 120″ long. The print dialogue boxes do not have that sheet size, but does have an option for “custom size”. However, we cannot find a location where we can specify what that custom size is. Can anyone give advice on this problem?

    Thank you.

Is this specifically related to Frontpage?
If not – what operating system are you using?

Since you asked the question, I looked at options for printing an Excel 97 file to the Designjet 750C and couldn’t find a way to set up custom paper sizes with that program either. We are using XP Pro & XP Pro 64.

OK – I’ll move this to the XP Forum, I don’t think FP is at all related.

I have NOT been around any of this wide paper plotters for some time. But when I was (before retirement), we needed the correct drivers and then used the “Fit to page” setting to print large copies using Word or Excel. Check with your hardware supplier, they may have drivers or third party software that may help you out.

Does the manual not explain how to set up custom sizes?
Check the printer properties from the Settings > Printers and Faxes window. You may find you need administrator privileges to set custom sizes.

We use Excel 2000 and a HP 750c plotter but this might help, from Excel: File, Print, select plotter, click Properties button, from the paper size tab click on the More sizes button, in the custom paper size section enter your dimensions.
