Problem opening Excel file

Using MS excel 03, every time I double click any excel file it simply opens the excel without any workbook or the file I have opened. My excel contains a personal.xls macro also is this is the problem

As a first step, select Tools | Options… in Excel.
Activate the General tab.
If the “Ignore other applications” check box is ticked, clear it, then click OK.
If the “Ignore other applications” check box was already clear, tick it, click OK, then repeat the same steps and clear it.

Post back if this doesn’t cure the problem.
