Does anybody out there know whether Office 2000 and Office XP can peacefully coexist on the same machine? Or won’t they play nice? argue
O-97 & O-2K did, as long as they were installed in different directories.

Specifically, I’m wondering if O-XP will step on various dll’s and cause O-2k to not work anymore.

    Thanks….

with the exception of outlook, yes. you can not have two outlook’s installed.

I have to caution you though, that OXP installs an updated version of vbe6.dll, and you can wind up with corrupted code containers (modules, forms, reports) in your VBA projects in Office 2000 as a result. This problem has been discussed in numerous threads in this board. YOu might try a Lounge search on vbe6.dll to see what you find.

No two versions of Office can FULLY co-exist in the same bootable system.
If you are lucky, you may not encounter problems. If you do need more than one version of Office on a single computer, then you can install an OS in another partition and install each version of Office under each OS.

You can use BBCodes to format your content.
