    Problem: when a page contains a link to download a program, clicking on the link doesn’t start the download. I’m experiencing this problem since I upgraded to IE 5.5. Any clues?

      Tools/Internet Options/Security/Custom …
      Are downloads enabled?
      (Upgrading can reset some previous settings)

        yes, downloads are enabled.
