For the life of me I can’t remember what this feature in OL XP is referred to as but in XP when you try to send an email programmatically say from Access you get a pop-up msg from Outlook informing you that a program is attempting to send an email on your behalf. You have to click OK to send the email. Is there any work-a-around to this as of yet?

    Thanks
    Ed

Looking through those previous threads I saw mention of a program that would automatically click the OL wraning button for you. Do you know what the program is and or where to get it?

        Thanks Again

Sorry, no – you may need to follow the clues with a search in the Outlook forum or a follow-up post there.

It’s not exactly a program, it’s a library add-in called Redemption that provides it’s own special Outlook object model that allows access to OL objects without those warnings. Search in Outlook fro Redemptions and you’ll find more information.

You might have heard about “ClickYes.exe.” It seems to be a nice little utility, but it has it’s limitations (like, the workstation can’t be locked). Read about it at:

Thanks! That’s exactly what I was looking for.

Ed, don’t introduce this to your machine lightly. This introduces a major security problem – don’t do this from a corporate environment.
              – For a developer, Redemption is the way to go.
              – As an end user, you can turn off any of the security that you don’t want – there are lots of free tools, but I like the “Xenos Outlook Security Extension” at http://www.xenossoftware.com/XSOutlookSecu…xt/details.aspx – it puts another tab into the options dialog, and lets me manage things from there.
