• Query problem (Access2000)

    Hi guys,
    What Im trying to do is display the records. I have original records and amended version of the original record. I ONLY want to display the amended record If it exist (I dont want to display the original record when there is an amended version of that record exist). Can anyone tell me how I could do this? PLEASE……..

    Right now Im using a select query to do this.

      what tables do you have ?

      Which fieldNames are unique in the relevent tables ?

        Well there are 2 tables, one for original and one for amendments. I can pick the amendment record fine but I don’t know how to pick up the recent record when there is an amendment to the amended record which will be stored in the same table (Amendment table). For more details, see the thread called Mail-Merge problem.

        The unique ID these records share are “tnum”, If tnum is equal for both the records then I want to display the most recent one which could be found out by using “Create” which contains the date and time of when it was created but I don’t know how.
