Question about hidden Win 10 updates

For months, updates 5005463, 5012170 and 5001716, which I hid using wushowhide as recommended here, appeared on the “hidden” list in the app.  They are no longer there. Anyone know why? Should I be concerned that Microsoft might try to force them on me?  Do I need to re-hide them? If so, how?

YES!

because Microsoft sometimes issues “revised” versions of the updates you mentioned, doneager (I know for sure KB5001716 got “revised” in late April 2024, so windows update offered my Win10 PCs the newly revised version around mid-May 2024, after hiding an “old” version of KB5001716 a month or two months ago. so I have to hide the “new” version of KB5001716 with wumgr, WAU Manager, windows update minitool or wushowhide.diagcab)

as for KB5012170 – that update was obsoleted and “no longer applicable” when installing the May 2023 or newer cumulative update (so KB5012170 is longer needed as it’s incorporated or included from the May 2023 & newer CUs)

Regarding the items deleted from my file of updates previously hidden using wushowhide:

1. I have not been offered (and therefore not hidden) 5001716 through the May update cycle. Should I expect to see it sometime in the future so I can re-hide it?
2. 5012170 is not a problem and I don’t need to be concerned with getting it back on the hidden list.
3. 5005463 was not addressed in your response. What should I do about it?

I agree with this. I have had hidden things sometimes disappear from hidden and re-appear as new things, but they have been changed. If I don’t want them, I just hide them again. Simply stay alert!
