Is it possible to read a USER.DAT file?

I want to examine the USER.DAT files of several users on our network. There is a copy of these files available on one of our servers.
Normally I would use RegEdit, but RegEdit only allows to examine the registry files on the computer you work on.
Is there a utility somewhere which allows selecting a User.dat file for browsing it?

      Bart,

I haven’t tried this, but since the USER.DAT file is siply a registry hive, you should be able to open it with REGEDT32.EXE – which is only available from an NT machine.

I haven’t needed to try this for myself, but visit CNET and check out a utility called REGDAT. There are a couple of others out there but I can’t remember just where.
