What browser are you using and anything addons that stop cookies?

        It’s not his browser.
It hasn’t been working for 6 hours now.

What changes have you made in that time frame?

I added the plug in that Milan coded up to assist with the caching issue after you indicated you were still seeing issues. We’re still trying to get caching on the site to work to balance speeding it up with being accurate to users.

The site is checking the status of user, ergo why I’m asking about cookies. Let me reach out to him.

I’m using Firefox 88.0.1 and only have “cross-site tracking cookies” blocked.

It’s not a browser or browser extension/plugin issue

Mine posted early this am, but not since 10:30 this am  #2367991

They show in my profile and if you Search in New Posts: last day, but not under Recent Replies which appears to be somewhat frozen in time.

Using Firefox 88.0.1 but hasn’t been a problem until mid morning today.

      This one not appearing either.

This issue has been noticeable since yesterday for me.

    • #2368067

“Recent Replies” is frozen, for me, at the time when I posted something in the thread called “Click here to agree”, replying to wdburt1. It still says “5 minutes ago” and that was at 8:22 CDT (Woody’s time), or 9:22 EST (my time) now it is 18.25 EST.

I have looked at this frozen “Recent Replies” with both Waterfox ad Firefox, both of which have their regulation 20 AskWoody cookies.

I am not sure about the question, so this is what I guess might help:

I posted that last comment and logged out some time afterwards, can’t be precise about when or how long after posting that comment that now is forever “five minutes ago.” All I remember is that it was no long after posting it.

Later I came back and so that and thought: well, that is odd. Then logged out again. And now I’m back, several hours later, and still seeing that.

I can’t tell if the rest of the side bar is also frozen; other things are not, e.g. “New posts: Last Three days.

I notice the issue logged in or not.

Gave up on caching plugins a couple years ago with WordPress sites. Too many issues, not worth the grief. I just throw more hardware resources on the server if sites are slow. BUT I do understand why you would like it to work. Saves bandwidth and pages display much faster when working properly. Litespeed has worked great for us. Good luck!

      • #2368073

The gentleman who does the complicated plug ins for the site recommended this one, we were having issues with the old cache plug in as well. 🙁  Have I said lately that wordpress is annoying?

Same reason I won’t use cloudflare. Goofy problems, and I don’t find them to be honest with issues on their end.

          • #2368077

Maybe Susan should declare a new plugin moratorium?

Leaving WordPress  for a different company might improve things long term, with luck, but I suspect will make them a lot worse short term, going by previous experience.

I have migrated way too many times – you lose stuff.  I’m not going there – at least not until much more investigation is done.  Temporarily I have moved the “custom” replies plug in off and using the bbpress replies plug in.

And now the sidebar is moving again, and how! With all the backlog, it’s really catching up.

      Susan: you did it!

But things are also reeeally slowww …

I’m in Hawaii. It is 2:24PM HST now. The last post in this thread by OscarCP was posted at 6:49 PM.

I have no idea what time zone the site is using. 🙁

It appears this site now thinks I am in the Central Daylight Saving Time Zone rather than Hawaiian Standard Time zone (we do not observe Daylight Saving Time).

Is the site showing everyone in various time zones the USA Central Daylight Savings Time or is just Hawaii affected?

      • #2368095

Central.  your post is 7:28 p.m on the site.  Logged out Brave browser has your post as a recent reply.

I’m using Fx 60.9 ESR. I don’t have Brave running at the moment. Let me open it and try a post here.

BTW, the site is sluggish. It usually is fast.

    • #2370528

Just a heads up – the recent replies widget has to be removed due to caching issues and performance issues it was causing.  Evaluating long term options but for now,  it has to go in order to keep the site in better shape.
