You are asking a very common question on this part of the forum which is very difficult to answer as it obviously depends on your budget. I am doing some work for a small company at the moment who require a small website and they are on a very limited budget (until they go global wink)

They are using http://www.webfusion.co.uk/hosting/%5B/url%5D if you want predefined pages you could download a few examples from the internet shrug

Why try and limit yourself to the UK. A lot of hosts are in different countries and a lot have been moved. So what is in the UK today may not be next week.

Check around for the requirements and price and go there. I use http://www.1and1.com[/url%5D, and they start at $2.99 (USD) and up per month.

For 1 & 1, the trade name of a major German company offering bargain pricing in North America and elsewhere, you will want the UK URL: http://www.1and1.co.uk/%5B/url%5D

This site also might be useful: Web hosting UK – UK.Tophosts.com

I would like to register a domain name with the suffix .pl, for Poland, eg http://www.name.pl. The sites mentioned don’t allow for this. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I’ve used http://www.easyspace.co.uk[/url%5D – their basic hosting package, which includes a domain name, is

No way will I reccommend easyspace, since Iomart took them over gone and spoilt the customer care!
Took five months to transfer contact details from my name to another, for one domain all within easyspace & cost

Well, I haven’t had any problems – including with customer care, which I have had to contact on a couple of occasions. When were they taken over?
