Remove VBA Project (2000)

I deleted all macros in my presentation. When I open my presentation, however, I still get the “ZZZ.ppt contains macros” dialogue box.

When I hit Alt-F11 I still have a VBA project with screen objects and modules, although all are empty.

How can I get rid of these empty modules and objects so that I don’t get that “contains macros” dialogue?

BTW I tried to right-click and select ‘remove’ but ‘remove’ is greyed out.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Remove grayed out. Though it sounds paradoxical, perhaps, put something into the code modules, like Option Explicit and see if that bring them back to life.

I’ve attached a screen grab to prove it actually does happen!

The objects you see in the Project Explorer are slides in the presentation; you cannot remove those without removing the slides themselves. If you don’t have code, these slides may contain ActiveX controls, or have contained them in the past. ActiveX controls will cause the “contains macros” warning too, since they are potentially unsafe.
If one or more of your slides contains an ActiveX control, you will have to live with the macro warning. If there once was an ActiveX control, but not any more, you should delete and re-create the slide(s) involved.

Thanks for your comments. Interesting however that the quick menu displays “Remove Slide 1” greyed out, if it can’t be removed anyway. Not to worry, I did have an empty module which I eventually removed, as the greyed out remove option somehow became enabled!
So in short, the PPT is now working as it should, so thanks again.
