• Removing Prog’s from startup

I thought I could delete programs out of startup by going into Accessories>System Tools>System Information>Software Environment>Startup Programs. However having followed this to the list of startup programs, I can see what I want to delete, but there is no option to do so. Does anyone know if I am on the right track but the wrong railway? Thanks… smile

1 – Look for shortcuts in the Windows/Start Menu folder, and…

2 – Go to Start/Run and type msconfig.exe. There you will find options to delete most of the things that are run on bootup.

thankyou Thank you Michael and RHC, the Start/Run msconfig.exe was exactly the command line I needed, have already deleted what I wanted and bingo – all gone now. Thank you very much guys, I now have a clean sys tray for the first time in ages. smile

You might also try right-clicking on a file name in the Startup folder…you should see a Delete selection.
