I have a master on my LAN, and a replica sitting on the LAN of a sub office – I do design changes and a bit of data entry, and sync it up with the replica every evening… the last few times I tried to sync, I got the error message that the sync failed because a design change could not be applied to one of the replicas.
I stripped out the last table, queries, forms and report I did last, hoping that would be it… but same message comes up – I cant just keeping tearing things apart trying to get back to the place when it worked – is there anyway to trouble shoot the message? Thanks!

Wouldn’t it be easier to discard the replica and create a new one?

(I’ve always avoided replication, it seems to be more trouble than it’s worth)

Did not think of that doh – I will just need to append a few days new data from the replica to the master…. Unfortunately, I am stuck using replicas because our network lines are horrible and the data input is done at a sub office…. Thanks for the info!

Despite the official documentation, replication is intended for Jet objects only – tables and queries. It is not intended for forms, reports, etc. So part of your solution will be to split your application into frontend and backend components. Use replication to sync the data (backend) between multiple locations, and use an alternative method to distribute the frontend to your remote locations. Here’s a good resource to study:
