I have a report that has Group Header Repeat Section set to “Yes”; in addition a Group Footer that just displays a line to break up the each section. My issue is that I don’t want the Group Header to repeat; unless there is a record to print. I have Group Headers repeating just to print the Group Footer; I know that’s what the Group Header Repeat Section is set to do; I’m just wondering if I can set the Group Header Repeat Section to print/display if there is a record; otherwise don’t repeat the Group Header just because the Group Footer did not fit on the previous page.

Although not quite what you asked, the simplest solution is not to use a group footer at all, but to shift down the controls in the group header a bit and to insert a line above them.

Otherwise, you’d have to write non-trivial VBA code.

Thanks for your response; but I tried that and that means every Group Header on the top of the page has a line and extra space; I don’t mind writing non-trivial VBA code.

Good luck, I tried it but failed. If I do find a solution, I’ll post it.
