I’m struggling with a report that’s giving me extraneous pages; if there is more than one ‘condition’ in a sub-table, I get a page for each record in the sub-table.

I know I’ve not explained it properly, but if you look at the attached, hopefully you’ll see what I mean.

Anyway, can anyone explain what it is I’m not doing?

    TIA

The sub-subreport rptSubEnviro is linked to the subreport srptConditionEnviro on ID and Condition. The subreport srptConditionEnviro is based on the table tblCondition, but the combination of ID and Condition is not unique within this table. For example, ID=”EA1.02″ and Condition=”Normal” occurs 4 times. So you’ll get a repetition of the same subsubreports 4 times.

Thank Hans. Let’s see if I have the right of this; I need to add another field (eg HazardImpact) to tblcondition & use this to link parent/child fields?

You don’t have to add the field to the table – it already has a field HazardImpact. But you need to add it to the Link Master Fields and Link Child Fields properties of the subsubreport on the subreport:

      Ah got it!

That’s what comes for picking up something that wasn’t finished months ago (and it was me that started it )

      Thanks once more
