Hi I have a Report that is generated by groupID and transaction date. My problem is next year the groupId will change so I will not be able to generate this same report next year. I would like to save it as a word document and have that word document stay with that access database (embed it some how maybe). Or save it as a report in access that will not change as query that made it changes. Is this possible?

AskWoody LoungerAugust 4, 2008 at 1:06 am #1119612I don’t know about the structure of your db, so I don’t know what might be possible around your GroupId changing.
But…
One option is to convert a copy of the query that drives the report (assuming for the moment there is just one query) into a make table query. Then you will have a separate table containing a snapsot of the data was it was at that time.
Then make a copy of the report using this new table as its recordsource. Then you will have a copy of the report that will not change. -
