Hello.  I came across this article and wondered if anyone has ever used this tool and how well it works?

It’s been recommended here a few times in previous years, and run at least once on Windows 7 (but not in the last three years as far as I can see):

I’ve used it to reset my system when the 2004 update failed to install on my PC. It empties the Software Distribution folder in Windows among other things. Didn’t sort out my 2004 update though, still won’t install.
